Background

The Jordan Badia Research Programme is a national Programme that aims at contributing to the sustainable development of the Jordanian Badia in order to enhance the quality of life for its inhabitants. Since its establishment in 1992, as a result of a memorandum of understanding signed between the Higher Councilfor Science and Technology (HCST) and the British Royal Geographic Society (RGS), the Programme has implemented numerous R&D projects, human resources development Programmes, and entrepreneurial projects.
